New and significant discounts on state-of-the-art boards and drops of up to 73 per cent on software development kits
SHENZHEN, China -- Avnet Electronics Marketing is turning up the heat at the 12th Annual International IC-China Conference and Exhibition taking place in Shenzhen with a host of discounts and special offers designed to showcase the latest breakthrough products and maintain momentum on tried and true solutions.
The promotion, running from 5 March until 15 April 2007, includes new and significant discounts on of Xilinx top products. Evaluation boards will see price cuts of up to 20 per cent on items such as the new, high-performance Xilinx Virtex-5 LX board that uses 65nm technology and Xilinx Spartan-3 family boards that use 90nm technology.
On the software front, Avnet Electronics Marketing is offering a promotional 73 per cent reduction on its XPA#1 (Xilinx Productivity Advantage (XPA) Bundle Solution #1)- DSP software kit(ISE software and SystemGen for DSP), and 65 per cent discount on the XPA#2- DSP software kit (ISE software and SystemGen for DSP) with ML402 development board. The promotion includes two training credits which allow customers to attend a 2-day DSP training from Xilinx ATP (Authorized Training Partner).

Customers will be able to purchase solutions at discount prices until 15 April. Attendees at the Avnet workshop taking place on 20 March and 22 March will also be able to purchase the development kits and software at the promotional prices.
Avnet workshop is a practical, how-to training organized for FPGA, DSP, and embedded systems designers, providing them with "how-to" tutorials and labs on the latest Xilinx technology. The upcoming workshop in March will focus on the training of CPLD: CR-II architecture and application, Spartan-3 application, Virtex-5 technology features and hands-on experience with FPGA design.
